Anouar was born on the 21st of June 1989. At the age of eighteen he started writing for the magazine ‘Mzine’. His first interview immediately became a cover story for the magazine with eight thousand subscribers in the Netherlands. After a successful three-month internship at Eurosport, he became the youngest commentator for the European sports channel.
Born in the Netherlands, with Moroccan roots, Anouar has wide sporting contacts in both European and Moroccan sport. He has covered several matches of the Moroccan national team and also did some work for the Moroccan football federation. Over the course of his sports journalism career Amrani has interviewed such sporting athletes as: Ibrahim Afellay (FC Barcelona), Mounir el Hamdaoui (Malaga) and Kyrie Irving (Cleveland Cavaliers).
Before choosing a career in journalism, Amrani got a degree in business and marketing. During the three years he was one of the most talented students and the teachers suggested that he should step in to the business world. Amrani however chose a new study. In his four years at the ‘School of journalism’ in Utrecht he improved his writing and (video) editing skills. He graduated in four years time and obtained a bachelors degree in Journalism. During that period Amrani also got a nomination for ‘Best student interview in the Netherlands’.
Amrani started editing videos when he was fifteen years young. He started editing with Windows Movie Maker and is now working with Final Cut Pro, Apple Motion and Adobe After Effects. Amrani is a talented journalist with a business mind. Always looking for something new. He also did freelance jobs for the Moroccan Football Federation and other companies.
